A long, shallow, silver printed box (very lightly edgeworn), containing two 4to booklets in silver wrappers: "Texte" contains an essay by Hans Irrek and interviews with Dubuisson and 3 residents of Montparnasse. "Images" contains grainy full-page voyeuristic details of interiors of individual apartments seen from the outside. 41 + 32 pages, with text in German. The 3rd piece is a silver folder printed inside with the names of the more than 750 families living in the massive housing project, BUT LACKING THE ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH which was once laid inside. Frankfurt: Portikus & Oktagon, (1995). First edition, limited. Booklets are in fine condition within a very good solid box.

Published in conjunction with a 1995 exhibition at Portikus Frankfurt am Main, this unusually-designed, over-sized publication is devoted to Andreas Gursky's monumental photograph of architect Jean Dubuisson's quarter-mile long Montparnasse housing block. -- Martin Parr and Gerry Badger's "The Photobook: A History Volume II, page 275.
