Volume I (possibly only volume made). Preface par Pierre Veber. Original published parts with wrappers bound together as one volume. 39 pages of text in French plus summary pages printed on tissue paper. In-text figures plus 63 lithographic plates, printed by Draeger, Appel, Verneau & others, 40 in full color the rest tinted, with tissue guards. Folio, rebound in older grey cloth-backed marbled boards with red leather spine label (somewhat edgeworn, but clean internally aside for ink on one wrapper. Front fly leaf creased and corners of first few pages dogeared, not affecting text). Paris: Nilsson/Lamm, [no date, 1897].
A very good copy with spotless plates. The book is scarce as plates were frequently sold separately. French bookseller's postcard bound in.
