Beautifully detailed map of northwestern Italy including Elba. Inset tables describe mountains and their elevations and the presence of various minerals. Tuscany is one of the most famous and prolific wine regions anywhere in Europe. It is best known for its Sangiovese-based dry red wines - which dominate output. These include Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Benedetto Marzolla (1801-1858) was an Italian geographer. This map was published in his final atlas "Atlante Geographico".
