Autographed Letter Signed "Lurleen" as Governor of Alabama

2 pages (front and back) on an "Executive Mansion" card, measuring 7.75 x 5.25 inches, Montgomery, Alabama, August 8, 1967. In this letter, Wallace thanks Dr. T. Strand Jackson for a gift of 13 dozen roses. Accompanied by hand-addressed envelope as well as a typed letter signed from George C. Wallace as a presidential candidate, signed "George C." to Dr. Jackson, 1 page, 10.5 x 7.25 inches, October 3, 1968. Also included is a scarce "Wallace To Washington '72" bumper sticker. All these items are in very good condition.

George Wallace, Governor of Alabama, was forbidden by Alabama's constitution from succeeding himself in office. He had his wife Lurleen run for Governor in 1966. She was elected by a landslide only to die in office 18 months later.
