Panoramic view overlooking Paris when approached from the Northeast. Beautiful scroll along the bottom lists 44 landmarks, which have tiny, corresponding numbers above the distant hilltops. Most of which are churches, including Notre Dam. Matthaus Merian (1593-1650), was a draughtsman, topographical engraver, and publisher from Switzerland.This is a rare and beautiful example of his work.
