Signed Record Album

Rare copy of his album "A Monday Date" (from the series "Chicago - The Living Legends"), signed by Hines and his entire band: Eddie Smith, trumpet; Jimmy Archey, trombone; Darnell Howard, clarinet; Pops Foster, bass; and Earl Watkins, drums. The signatures all appear on the front cover, above a photo of a street scene on the South Side of Chicago. The album includes 12 Dixieland-style selections, including "Bill Bailey, Won't You Please Come Home," "Yes Sir, That's My Baby," and "A Closer Walk With Thee." (Edges reinforced with tape, notations on back cover and spine.) Riverside Records, New York, Dec. 3, 1961.
