Exceptional 9.5 x 8-inch vintage 1960 NASA training photo of Cooper strapped in a procedure trainer at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia, fully outfitted in a spacesuit, familiarizing himself with the controls of a spacecraft. Boldly signed using his real name "Leroy G. Cooper, Jr." Photograph I.D. NASA G-60-2613, with imprint caption on the back. Bottom edge trimmed; paperclip impression in the upper left corner; glue stains on the back. Very good(-) condition.
American aerospace engineer, test pilot, and one of the seven original astronauts in the Project Mercury space program.
