New York: Abrams, 1967.
143 illustrations, including 41 mounted color plates, some folding. 195 pages. Oblong 4to, gray cloth with silver-stamped pictorial cover, dust wrapper. New York: Abrams, (1967). First edition. The cloth is somewhat faded on the top & bottom edges, and the dust wrapper is un-torn but with some scratching, scuffing to two facing pages, not affecting the mounted color plates; most significantly the blank front endpaper has been removed and the half title has minor damage in the gutter -- still overall a very good solid copy.
A seminal work - the first full- length monograph on Johns --Freitag 4629.
