Written to Julius Schatz of the American Jewish Congress, declining an invitation, in full: "I wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter of December 26 extending to me an invitation to participate in the memorial meeting which the American Jewish Congress has arranged in commemoration of the Tenth Anniversary of the destruction of the Warsaw Ghetto on April 12, 1953. It is with deep regret that I must inform you of my inability to accept this kind invitation since I am already firmly committed on that day." Horizontal folds; near fine condition.
