Fine grouping of seven embossed and printed Presidential invitations and acknowledgements (some with envelopes), various sizes, 1904 - 1941, plus a very scarce item from 1892 which says, "The President and Mrs. Harrison request the presence of Mr. Morse and the ladies of his family on Tuesday evenings, January 12th & 26th and February 9th from nine to eleven o' clock. 1892." The event on January 12th featured a meeting with the Diplomatic Corps, the event on January 26th was a reception to the Congress and the Judiciary, and February 9 was a meeting with the Officers of the Army and Navy and Marine Corps. Other items in this collection include an invitation by President Theodore Roosevelt & Mrs. Roosevelt to attend a White House reception, January 26 1905; a "not transferable" admission card from the Coolidge White House, for the wife of Congressman Harry Bacharach, to be presented at the East Entrance of the White House, January 8, 1925, (with envelope); an admission ticket to see the President, for Congressman Kahn (1928), by the Hoover Administration (with envelope); a Presidential invitation from President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Mrs. Roosevelt to attend a reception to be held at the White House, January 4, 1934; a rare private mini three-page invitation program for a White House performance, Tuesday, January 8, 1935, by Madame Ninon Vallin, Soprano & Mr. Rene Le Roy, Flute with embossed Presidential seal; a black-bordered mourning card, The White House, Washington: "The President and Mrs. Roosevelt much appreciate your condolences in their great loss," accompanied by the original black-bordered envelope dated September 17, 1941, addressed to Assistant Secretary of State John H. Ball. All items are in very good condition.
