Paris: 1792. unbound. 1 page, 10.75 x 13.5 inches, Paris, March 27, 1792 -- a partly printed and engraved military proclamation signed "Louis," acknowledging that Pierre Jacques Delaporte of the Parisian National Guard entered into the service of the King on April 1, 1760 and served with valor. The King authorizes P.J. Delaporte to wear "Le Medaillen dedeux Epees en Sautoir" (the Medal of two Swords in Sautoir), which will be attached by the Commandant of the Regiment on September 23, 1791. Additionally signed by Pierre Marie, Marquis de Grave (1755 - 1823), French Minister of War from March to May 1792. Louis's signature appears light as is usual when encountering military documents. Very good condition with usual folds and scattered light toning.
