1960. unbound. Historically important and exceedingly rare 1960 Kodachrome photograph, inscribed and signed "Dick Nixon." Measuring 8 x 10 inches, this candid image was taken at the Republican National Convention and depicts a very animated Richard Nixon enjoying the moment and bantering with two female delegates. The woman are wearing 1960 Nixon embroided cloth brooches and the soon-to-be Republican nominee for President is standing in front of a gigantic black-and-white poster of himself, the image being the 1960 official portrait of the Vice-President taken by Fabian Bachrach. Inscribed to fellow Quaker and early Nixon supporter Norman Morrison (1933 - 1965). On November 3, 1965 Morrison, a devout Quaker, immolated himself outside of Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara's office at the Pentagon. Very good condition. Custom framed with a white matte and a black-and-gold frame; outer measurements are 10 x 14 inches.
