This fine engraving depicts Charles François Dumouriez, the French Revolutionary General. Posted resolutely in front of a tree that mirrors his firm stature, Dumouriez is shown with his sword in hand, fearlessly and even threateningly admiring the sharp tip of his weapon. Behind him, a scene of a military camp includes cannons, flags, tents, and soldiers on horseback. The print is in good condition with narrow margins. Two stains toward the right, otherwise generally clean.
