Rome: 1789. unbound. Two full pages dry-mounted on blue bordered paper with several letters affected, 10 x 8 inches including the border, Rome, April 4, 1789. Splendid autographed letter in English, signed in full, regarding a shipment of her paintings to her dealer, in part: "I lost no time to get the pictures ready to sail with the first vessel directed for Leghorn...the weather is the cause if the pictures do not arrive in the time you wished to have them. So that I hope you will not think it is my neglect...According to your order I have drawn...the sum of four hundred guineas agreed for the two pictures. I have thought propper [sic] to send them free from all expence [sic]...nor have I charged for case and packing. I hope...that the pictures will merit your approvation as allso [sic] the aprovation of the public..." Very good condition.
