1 page on White House stationery, 8.75 x 5.75 inches, Washington, April 13, 1943. Written to theater owner and Broadway producer John Golden, in full: "Thank you for your note regarding 'the Home Front.' I shall be delighted to go." Attractively double matted in cream and blue along with a 4 x 6-inch photograph of Hopkins sitting at his desk. Set in a brown, black, and gold frame measuring 14.5 x 19 inches. Fine condition.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt's closest adviser and one of the chief architects of the New Deal. He built and directed the WPA into the largest employer in the country prior to America's entry into World War II.
