American rockabilly musician who recorded most notably for the legendary Sun Record label with such alumni as Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, and Johnny Cash. He is best remembered for his hit "Blue Suede Shoes," which cemented his image as one of the founding fathers of rock-n-roll.
