Leonard Boudin was the lead council in the case of Gerry Adams v. James Baker, Secretary of State; Richard Thornburgh, Attorney General; and Lana C. Nelson, Director of the Immigration and Naturalization Service, whereby Adams was appealing a decision by the U.S. Government which denied him entry into the country.
