Nicely detailed map of Connecticut divided into counties with parts of the surrounding states, including Long Island. Shows all railroads, major routes and canals. Beautiful dark impression with vibrant original color. Minor toning around edges and a few small tears. The Colton family was one the most prolific and successful publishers of maps and atlases in the United States. J.H. Colton (1800-1893) founded his business in NYC in 1831.
