Written while serving as a member of the House of Commons, to distinguished Appellate Court Judge (New York State) Shientag, in part: "I have received a recent issue of the Columbia Law Review containing your most generous appreciation of my occasional address on legal topics. You must allow me to express my thanks for all the kind things you have said...It is really very pleasant to find that my thoughts have awakened a sympathetic response in the mind of a judicial brother on the other side of the Atlantic." One horizontal fold; small crease and staple holes in the upper left corner. Very good condition.
