New York: 1917. unbound. Very scarce and historically important inscribed 10 x 8-inch photograph -- a 3/4 length portrait of de Stefano standing beside his inlaid Armbros Harp in 1917. Boldly signed and inscribed against the dark background on the lower portion of the photo: "For Mary Warfel With much appreciation, Salvatore de Stefano, New York April 10, 1917." Near fine condition.
Premier classical harpist who made his debut on June 12, 1912 with the Naples Symphony Orchestra. His "Method for Harp" (1917) radically changed the instrument's function in classical music.
