This print was originally an advertisement for Harper's Magazine by Edward Penfield (1866-1925), an artist who lived and worked in New York City. Known as the "originator of the poster in America", Penfield designed for Harper's in the 1890's and his work is still highly collectible and sought after. Small tears to the upper right corner have been professionally repaired.
