Two Interesting Autographed Letters Signed

The first letter: 3 pages, each two-page spread measuring 7.25 x 8.75 inches, 7 Fitzroy Square, January 9, 1860, concerning the difficulty in receiving a shipment and in calculating the rate of exchange. In part: "...Mr. Neigel authorizes me to pay you the equivalent of 76 Thalers. I cannot understand his statement that 76 Thalers are equivalent only to 7 Guineas minus 3 pound..." The second letter: 1 page, 6 x 4.5 inches, no place, May 8, 1832, declining to attend an event due to a previous engagement. Both letters are in very good condition, with mounting remnants at the corners.
