New York: 1926.
10 x 8 inches, New York, 1926 -- a closeup facing left of the young soprano. Inscribed in white ink on a dark background: "To Mary Warfel With best wishes from Marion Talley, June 1, 1926." Several faint creases but still in very good condition.
On February 17, 1926, 19-year-old Talley made history as the youngest prima donna to ever perform at the Metropolitan Opera. She retired after only four seasons and never performed again.
