A sleigh filled with young women escorted by a gentleman who resembles Homer. Homer's initials are on the side of the sleigh. Winslow Homer, born in 1836 in Massachusetts, was a consummate American artist of his day. His contemporary scenes were from all strata of life. He worked until his death in 1910.
