Multi-generational depiction of a mid-nineteenth century day at the beach. Minor chipping and scattered foxing. Winslow Homer, born in 1836 in Massachusetts, was a consummate American artist of his day. His contemporary scenes were from all strata of life. He worked until his death in 1910.
