2 pages (front and back), 13 x 8.5 inches, no place, October 17, 1969 -- an attractive pardon signed by Queen Elizabeth II on the front and Prime Minister James Callahan as Home Secretary on the back. Prominent red wax seal on the upper left. Tiny stain near the lower left corner; very good(+) condition.
The pardon is on behalf of Robert Stewart for theft. James Callahan was a very important British figure as he was the only person to have served in all four Great Offices of State: Prime Minister, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Home Secretary, and Foreign Secretary.
