This piece is from the English posthumous edition of "Voyages and Travels into Brasil and the East Indies...". The National Library of Australia attributes this edition to A&J Churchill, publishers in London. View shows a woman referred to in the title as "mestice" or mestizo, a Spanish term used to describe to people of mixed European and Amerindian descent.
