This 5.75 x 4.25-inch photo is signed by the former Prime Minister of Lesotho and is accompanied by a letter of transmittal on official Kingdom of Lesotho letterhead, measuring 11 x 7.25 inches and dated August 12, 1981. Fine.
Leabua worked in the mines of South Africa in the 1930s, later returned to Basutoland (Lesotho) and entered politics in 1952. In 1959 he founded the Basutoland National Party and became Prime Minister in 1966.
