A tight, bright copy. The first 198 pages are a translation of the London, 1769 work by Alexander Cluny, The American Traveller. "A survey of Anglo-American trade...showing that the colonies were no drain on the British economy." Howes C-501. The following 166pp. are additions on the United States of America by the translator, Joseph Mandrillon. Cluny also emphasized the economic potential of Hudson's Bay and Canada. Howes M-249. TPL 429.
