Charles "Buck" Jones is considered one of the greatest B-Western movie stars of all time. Although born in Indiana, Jones grew up on a ranch near Red Rock in Indian Territory (now Oklahoma), and there learned the riding and shooting that would prepare him to be a hero of Westerns. With his famed horse Silver, Jones was one of the most successful and popular actors in the genre, and at one point he was receiving more fan mail than any actor in the world.
