1950. unbound. 1 page, 11 x 8.5 inches, no place, no date, circa 1950. This touching poem titled "A Sister Writes" deals with the memories of a brother who died in a war, in part: "...But all that made him real cannot be stilled, Confined beneath palm-trees and alien waves. No, in the farm-yard dawn he can be seen: A blithe, thin hero striding through old chores, The whistle fainter now, yet softly keen, Retrieved beyond all sufferings and wars." Slight tears on right edge; very good(-) condition.
