3 pages, each two-page spread measuring 8 x 11.5 inches, with a stamped "Bibliotheca Lindesiana" seal on the bottom right corner of the first page, Verona, Italy, July 25, 1794. Signed "Courvoisier" by the politician and magistrate, explaining to a colleague why a friend of his -- someone born outside of France -- should be granted a position in Spain, in part: "... Enfin, Monsieur le Comte, ce gentilhomme, qui, je vous le jure, est un excellent Sujet, se trouve a l'age de 27 ou 28 ans, sans argent et sans ressource, apres avoir ete Lieutenant de vaisseau et guidon de gendarmerie..." Near fine condition.
