Signed "Aaron Ward" by the Chicago businessman who started the first mail-order business. Writing to an army general, Ward states that he is stuck in Philadelphia, but will be taking a steamer to New York to meet him, in part: "...I am detained...until Friday morning. On that day you expect me at between 1 & 3...p.m. at the Union Station...& from there I will come over to you..." Natural folds; very good(+) condition.
