A brightly illustrated and tight copy. Each vibrant and handsome chromolithograph depicts a group of soldiers in full uniform in army settings. Some soldiers are on horseback. These plates were engraved by G.H. Buek & Co. of New York after paintings by Henry Alexander Odgen. The black and white plates depict helmets, caps, badges, sword belts, epaulettes, and other accessories. These plates were engraved by Isaac Friedenwald, Photo-Lith., of Baltimore. Howes R-155.
