Signed in pencil by the British leading man of both silent films and talkies, regarding a bout of sunstroke, in part: "...I have been on my back since Sunday & am still unable to get up -- suffering from a touch of sun stroke. (The beach last Sunday morning was too much for me!)...My immediate return to rehearsals was so doubtful that I wrote yesterday to Sam Forrest saying that I would quite understand if he saw fit, under the circumstances to look out for another man..." Natural folds; lower left corner chipped. Very good(-) condition.
