Tuskegee Institute, AL: 1933. unbound. 2 pages, 11 x 8.5 inches, on personal "Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute" letterhead, Tuskegee Institute, AL, April 24, 1933 -- an explicit letter to a young man filled with glowing compliments about his character and good looks, in part: "It is impossible for you to know how happy your visit here made me yesterday...Dear you come up to my idea for a young man in every way...I wanted to give you your massage. Your skin needs it badly now; but you had such a little time and I was just so selfish that I wanted all of it for myself. Dear, I am enthused over the possibility of us going out on a real scientific expedition together. I want my precious boy with me on some of my lecture trips, in fact I want him with me as much as I can get him..." Signed "G.W. Carver." Two punch-holes in the top margin; natural folds. Very good condition.
