Blois: 1581. 1 horizontal page on vellum, folio, 8.5 x 16 inches, Blois, May 9, 1581. Signed by the French king asking the guards of the treasury (Pierre Mebloy & Jacques Leroy) to pay Captain Lefay 500 ecus to honor his bravery in past wars. Torn along bottom edge and lightly stained on the right side. A sturdy item in good condition.
