Two Autographed Letters Signed and a Telegraph
Cairo: 1877. Archive of two autographed letters signed and one telegram by the British General nicknamed for his victory in Beijing. Both letters were written on the day of his arrival in Cairo, and all of these items relate to the building of the Sudan railroad, which would be used by the opposition Mahdi to kill Gordon in the course of defeating the British.
