1860. This envelope, handwritten with the return address, place, and date, is postmarked over the signature "A Tennyson." The instruction to "Pay Mrs. Andrews on order twenty-one pounds" is also in Tennyson's hand. An ornate stamp from the National Provincial Bank of England-Newport indicates that this used envelope was reused as a check. 4.5 x 7 inches, no place, November 15, 1860.
