Description: 1 page, 8.25 x 6.5 inches, no place, no date, circa 1800. Written to Able James demanding the immediate return of a deed to an estate, in part: "...I now let you know if the family were inclined to treat with you farther (which is not the case) there would be many objections to your offered terms. I therefore demand of you the deed...which if not speedily complied with, will perhaps occation (sic) to you a future regret..."

Comments: Revolutionary soldier, lawyer, Judge Advocate General on Washington's staff, senator, and pro tempore of the Continental Congress.
