The two small pieces bound together in contemporary calf-backed boards. Very slim 12mo, 3/4 calf, marbled boards. Bookplate of collector and American business magnate James Lorimer Graham tipped in. Naples: Privately Printed, 1827; 1828. Scarce. Very good (+).

Comments: First Editions, no doubt printed in a small issue. Two elegiac poems. The first on the death of Frederic North, count of Guilford, and the second on William Drummond. The accompanying letter, addressed to George Stewart, nephew of Lord Guilford, is dated 1829 and was sent to his residence near Naples. North, Lord Guilford, was involved with the British court to Italy. The author of these 2 pieces is best known for this book "The Pursuit of Literature."
