This work is devoted to his investigations on glands and ducts and gives the description of some of his discoveries on salivary ducts and glands, on orbitary glands of the dog, etc. Nuck (1650-1692), reader of anatomy and surgery at the Hague and then professor at Leyden, was famous as an occultist, aurist and dentist, and was the first to prohibit the extraction of teeth of pregnant women. His name remains in anatomy in connection with the canal, or diverticulum of Nuck. This volume contains some of his best work.
