Description: 2 pages (front and back), 10.5 x 7.25 inches, on heavy gray paper embossed in bright yellow with a swan and her name in lowercase. No place, April 26, 1986. Signed "Gloria" by the American heiress and fashion designer -- a condolence letter to author Edward Jablonski, biographer of Harold Arlen, on the occasion of Arlen's death, in part: "...I have his voice on the tapes you sent me which I treasure always. It must be so hard for you after all these years of friendship and my loving and deepest sympathy is with you..." Horizontal folds plus a large, diagonal crease; very good(-) condition.

Many thanks for your help... Over the years I have spent many happy hours at the Argosy - mostly among your old maps. Whenever we have taken a trip, we have bought an old map of the country or area to remind us of where we've been. We have a whole wall of maps from the Argosy. As well as a number of your small prints of areas in the USA. They make wonderful presents for friends and family too - also some of your older books on special subjects.
