In this letter, Eisenhower politely declines a dinner invitation, in part: "...Much as I would like to comply with your request, my medical advisers have adamantly instructed me to curtail my activities, particularly where lengthy travel is involved. Mrs. Eisenhower and I plan to be in California for our annual sojourn on the desert prior to this date, and I cannot make a cross-country journey except, of course, in case of an emergency..." Usual folds; fine condition.
