Description: From the German by Edward Rigby. 166pp. Narrow 8vo, later library cloth, slightly soiled; ex-lib., several pp. torn or repaired in gutter. London, 1829. A good copy.

Comments: First Edition in English of GM 6169, which originally appeared in 1819, by the outstanding personality of Heidelberg's medical faculty during the first half of the 19th century. This is one of Naegele's earliest publications on obstetrics, the field in which he acquired his renown. This study, in addition to pointing out the important phenomenon of asynclitism, calls attention to the frequency of spontaneous rotation of occiput, attributing this to the resistance of the pelvic floor.

Thank you for your kind response. As it turns out, I was able to visit the Argosy on Tuesday. In fact, I arrived shortly after opening and stayed most of the morning, making a number of purchases. I notice that you wrote to me a 10:34 AM, meaning that I was in the store when you sent me an email. One of life's many coincidences... Again, many thanks for your courteous response. Best regards, until my next visit! - Phillip R.
