Description: 1 page, 10.5 x 7.25 inches, Washington, D.C. January 21, 1958 -- a rueful political opinion expressed in an ongoing correspondence with a reader. In part: "...Ike is a perfect symbol of the national attitude of our time. There is a slackness in the nation, perfectly apparent whether you call a plumber or take a good look at any average school, and this slackness has been personified by the President. He is the symbol and consequence of our national faith that personality is enough in this day and age." Horizontal folds; faint rust stain from a paper clip in the upper left corner. Very good(-) condition.

I have received the Paul Johnson book, and everything was excellent. I want to thank you for your efforts and professional courtesy in this transaction, as it was one of the best I've experienced over the past year. I hope that I can do more business in the future with Argosy Books. Thanks again. - R. Higgins
