Description: 2 pages. 9.5 x 6 inches, Chicago, dated "Monday," no year, circa 1940 -- a passive-aggressive business letter from singer to songwriter, in part: "Your letter and music received...and with a very clever piano player we fixed it up to be real good...will forward same to you and you can see the improvement in it." Accompanied by a card from her correspondent, songwriter Marie Theresa Laing. Two horizontal folds; near fine condition.

I want to thank you for your excellent service. I telephoned to inquire about the availability of a book this past Wednesday morning. Michele informed me it was available and took my order at about 11 AM EST. The next day when I got home from work, I was astounded to find that the book had been delivered in the early afternoon -- less than 30 hours after the order. Now, I know that UPS deserves some credit, but such fast delivery would not have occurred if Michele (and perhaps others) had not worked extremely efficiently.
