Comments: This beautiful Scandinavian Airline Systems or SAS poster from 1952 features flags of over 40 countries counties in vivid color. On the top left, two airplanes orbiting a globe and the logo of SAS which depicts the national flags of Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The company, formed by three national Scandinavian airline, was established in 1946 and later handed over operations to SAS in 1951. Two years after this poster was issued, SAS would become the first airline to fly the polar route. The poster is in good condition with minor tears at edges, some creasing in the margins and pin holes in corners. Classic travel poster from the early days of world travel.
