The letter on the inside, measuring 8 x 7 inches, was written to powerful "Philadelphia Inquirer" television critic Harry Harris, in part, "As I remember it, this won't be nearly as good as the one I painted you for Christmas last year. I send my love and thanks and heartfelt wishes for health and happiness, Dinah." Accompanied by the original handwritten envelope, postmarked on May 6, 1960, in Beverly Hills, California, with a calling card, humorously signed, "Dear Harris, I never forget anything I remember, Dinah." All three items are in fine condition.

Your beautifully wrapped package of books -- two copies of "Journal in the Night" -- arrived at my door this morning and made my day! A thousand thanks for the care you took, first to find them, and then to send them as you did, all done up with tissue paper to boot. It was like Christmas in June AND it was my first experience buying books on the Internet. All the best to you, and perhaps our paths will cross again. - Janet B.
