Description: 1942 photograph measuring 10 x 8 inches, credited to George V. Costello. The image shows Count Basie at the microphone at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. Printed from the original negative in 1995 by iconic jazz photographer Paul Hoeffler, who had acquired the rights in the late 1950s. Signed on the back: "Paul Hoeffler - print 1995." Fine condition.

I've been looking for another copy of "West of the Indus" for nearly twenty years (I know, it's such a cultural wasteland out here in the provinces), and I never expected to find one with a dust jacket.
